Mackerel is a fast-swimming fish from a pelagic family; it dwells close by the surface and keeps in huge shoals. This is a migrant fish which sometimes runs long distances during the season and can reach deep-water rapidly. Due to its mode of life, mackerel is almost lean, but it contains all useful properties like all other sea dwellers.

Dried mackerel may be included in one’s daily food ration, as due to the recipe its flavour is desalinated and will suit taste of those who like unsalted food.

Mackerel is a source of vitamins A, D and B. It is also rich in Omega 3 fat amino acid which is a basis for one’s good heart.
